Symphony was nervous as she sat by the stream and looked at her reflection in the water. Her father didn't approve of places like this. He thought it was like a dating site, and you didn't know what nutter might turn up and try to take advantage of you. Being religious, he believed El'Duga would guide you to the one you were meant for. Symphony wasn't so convinced as he seemed to be, even though she knew how happy he was with her mother. But she was also scared of being here. Not just of how her father might react if he found out she'd come, but also of the fact that he might be right - right about the kinds of wolves that came here. What if he was? Symphony heard a sound in the bushes behind her and turned around, her big amber eyes widening in fright.
"Wh-who's there?" She demanded anxiously, wishing she was as brave or as intimidating as her father was.
